Looking at that location in the rear-view mirror, he wondered if the place ahead would ever be more memorable or pleasant. What was once a beautiful summer’s breeze had turned to a stormy rapture.
Innocence lost, he also wondered if the storm would pass and he could return. He’d tried to ride out the storm, he’d been trying for months. The sun had not enough strength to break those dark clouds. He never thought of running.
So in pure speculation, he left for a destination that might hold greener grass and a healthier sun.
